Data and Analytics Transformation Lead

12 months fixed term contract (possibility to extend)

Hours: 37 p/week Monday Friday.

Location: Support Centre, Stoneclough Rd, M26 1GG. Hybrid (min 2-3 days in the office)

This is an exciting time for mydentist, as we work towards the implementation of an HCM and ERP as part of our digital transformation project. We are looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Transformation Lead, you will play a pivotal role providing direction to the data workstream in the digital transformation programme (Phoenix), developing and embedding our overall data strategy and governance and driving improvements to our data capability.

As a Data and Analytics Transformation Lead, your role will include:

  • To develop, communicate and support implementation of a clear vision for Data & Analytics transformation which is aligned with the mydentist five-year strategy.
  • Lead and manage the Data Governance & Reporting and Data Science teams, developing a credible and value-add Data & Reporting Centre of Excellence (CoE).
  • Leading the definition of the strategy, approach and processes by which the organisation acquires, stores, curates, manages and analyses data, setting standards for data and analytics quality.
  • Ensuring there is a common approach and alignment of our data strategy across the relevant parts of the organisation in order to maximise effectiveness and organisational data capability
  • The creation of value from all types of data analytics and ultimately improve the performance of the business (efficiency / productivity, revenue growth, margin improvement and customer satisfaction).

As a Data and Analytics Transformation Lead, you will need:

  • Significant experience in the creation, development and maintenance of data repositories, warehouses, data lakes, cloud platforms (such as MS Azure) and modern reporting and business intelligence and visualisation platforms.
  • Expertise in data science and advanced analytics
  • Significant experience establishing or leading a Data, Analytics or Business Intelligence team
  • Experience working on large transformation programmes, with effective transformation leadership ability
  • Understanding of business analytics, strategy and strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, confidently skilled in stakeholder engagement and management at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to lead a team to achieve the vision
