The Role

A full-stack developer to assist our existing development team. In this role, you will be working closely with the internal development team and departments within the organisation to implement and develop web-based applications for use throughout the organisation and externally

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the existing development team to understand project requirements and contribute to the design and implementation of web-based applications and internal systems
  • Utilize C#, Entity Framework, and Sitefinity CMS to develop robust and scalable backend components for the website and internal applications
  • Work on integrating and customizing Sitefinity CMS to manage website content efficiently
  • Develop and maintain APIs to facilitate seamless communication between different modules and external systems
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure effective integration of server-side logic with user-facing elements
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices
  • Participate in team discussions to identify and address technical challenges
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute innovative ideas to the development process
  • Provide support in deploying applications and ensuring their proper functioning in various environments

Person Specification:

  • Sitefinity CMS experience
  • Ideally a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a software developer with a focus on web application development
  • Strong proficiency in C# and experience with Entity Framework for database interaction
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and the ability to customize and integrate them into web applications
  • Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs for seamless communication between systems
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and version control
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team, collaborating with other developers and stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of security best practices in web application development
  • Ideally Previous experience with the specific CMS (Sitefinity) and APIs relevant to the project
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) for deployment and hosting
