Dr Reyes qualified as a dentist in Mexico in 2003. She then completed her specialist studies with a Master's degree in Orthodontics 4 years later. At that time, she decided to pursue an academic career and came to the UK to do a PhD at the University of Birmingham, she was awarded the best student abstract of the Diagnostic Sciences Group at the IADR session in 2010. She met her British husband and relocated permanently to the UK. Passing her ORE exam to validate her Mexican Dental Degree in the UK and to obtain her GDC registration she has been involved in orthodontics in the UK for the last 5 years. On top of this, Dr Reyes also supervises master’s students at a private university in the UK and translates medical-related documents into and from Spanish.Dr Reyes believes in making a visit to the dentist a positive experience, working to establish a strong rapport and trust with each patient. Outside dentistry when not too busy looking after her young family, you could find Dr Reyes at the gym, building Lego or reading a book.
