Marilou obtained her qualification as a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Philippines University. Marilou then successfully passed the Philippine Professional Commission board exam for dentists after graduation. Marilou's formative years as a young dentist were sharpened by working in a government funded community health office providing dental care to the less privileged members of the society. Marilou then moved to become an associate dentist in a private Orthodontic centre and has gained experience in treating patients from all walks of life. After migrating to the UK Marilou took and passed the overseas registration exam for patients in London in September 2015. In 2016 she travelled all over the UK attending hands on training courses and she won the NSK award on the Tubules PrepEvo Roadshow of 2017. Marilou plans to embark on a masters degree either in Restorative or Pediatric Dentistry in the near future.
