Dr Marina Dourou BDS(Hons) MFDS(RCSEng)Special Interest in PeriodontologyGDC 296756Dr Marina Dourou graduated with Honours from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London and has received multiple awards and recognitions for academic and clinical excellence. She is a dedicated dentist with a special interest in periodontology, currently pursuing the prestigious specialist training program in Periodontology at King’s College London. Prior to commencing her specialty training, Dr Dourou served as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery performing complex surgical procedures, including biopsies, surgical extractions and management of traumatic injuries. She was also appointed as an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow at the QMUL Centre for Oral Clinical Research, where she actively engaged in clinical trials, undertook clinical audits and provided advanced periodontal treatments. She has co-authored and published research in leading journals, focusing on advanced periodontal therapies and implant dentistry, complementing her clinical expertise.Dr Dourou is a member of the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry and the Royal College of Surgeons of England after completing her MFDS qualification in 2023. She is committed to delivering evidence-based care and enhancing patient outcomes in periodontal health.
