Dr Mark Ricketts qualified from Kings College, London in 1990 and since then has enjoyed a long and varied career in dentistry. He spent several years in a service dedicated to the treatment of anxious children and adults and he still finds the treatment of nervous patients one of the most rewarding aspects of dental practice. He also spent time in advanced private practice developing his skill in cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers and techniques to transform the appearance of a smile using braces and a minimally invasive approach. He understands that improving how happy and confident a person is with their teeth is very rewarding and it can often be done with little or no drilling. Throughout his career Dr Ricketts has refreshed and developed his knowledge and skills. He studied Short Term Orthodontics and now has a keen interest in tooth straightening, and in 2015 he studied further and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edin).
