Petros graduated from the University of Athens in 2008. He has been working for many years as a dentist in the private sector in Greece. For 3 years, he served as a Hospital Dental Officer in the Dentistry department of the University Hospital of Heraklion, which is one of the biggest hospitals in Greece. During that time, he was also an elected member of the board committee of the Heraklion Dental Association. Finally, he worked as an associate dentist providing both NHS and private dentistry in Spalding, Cleethorpes, Hull, and now in Sheffield. He has been awarded an MSc degree in Bioinformatics with distinction, and his thesis was a meta-analysis of gene expression data in oral cancer using advanced statistics and machine learning. He knows six programming languages and, in his free time, he does coding.
