Dr .Naomi Preston

Naomi qualified with honours from Bristol in 2001. After University, she moved to Derbyshire and has remained in the area ever since. Naomi has been at the practice since 2008 and is very happy to be part of a caring team committed to providing high quality dental care for the whole family. Naomi enjoys all aspects of dentistry and aims to provide a wide range of treatment in a relaxed and friendly environment. Naomi has been an elected member of the Local Dental Committee since 2004 and in her free time enjoys hiking and being part of a local orchestra.

Dr.Ayesha Chowdhury
Qualified from: BDS Birmingham, 2005

Ayesha qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2005. Since then she has racked up experience in general dental practice as well as seeing patients with special needs and/or dental anxiety in the community dental services. Having grown up in Chesterfield she returned to her home town and has been working in the area for over 10 years. She has a special interest in minor oral surgery and has spent time shadowing specialists in the field as well as doing additional courses. Ayesha values continuity and making her patients feel at ease. In the long term she looks forward to establishing good relations with her regular patients and providing them with high quality dental care.

Dr.Jane Bendrey

Jane qualified as a dentist at Newcastle University in 2001 and has been working at the Saltergate practice since 2002. Jane enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and particulary enjoys treating children and nervous patients who she can put at ease with her friendly and calming nature.
Jane regularly attends courses to keep knowledge and skills up to date and ensure standards are kept to a high standard. Jane has a great relationship with her patients and co workers and offers a range of NHS and private treatments.
Outside of work, Jane is a keen runner and enjoys going to the gym. She also enjoys travel and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Dr.Jessica Varley
Qualified from: BDS Newcastle, 2015

Jessica grew up in Derbyshire, returning to work in this area after qualifying at the University of Newcastle in 2015. Jessica loves empowering patients to understand their dental health, delivering high-quality dental care to her patients and engaging them in a warm and relaxed manner. She particularly enjoys caring for nervous patients, and seeing their confidence grow with time. Jessica is incredibly passionate about learning and teaching, working as a clinical teacher at the local dental hospital. Out of work, Jessica loves to spend quality time with friends and family, and enjoys exploring the countryside with her husband and dog.

Dr.Justin Gale
Qualified from: BDS Sheffield, 1998

Justin graduated in Dentistry from Sheffield University and began practice at Saltergate Dental Care in 1988. This makes him one of the longest serving members of our dental team. He’s passionate about providing care to his patients in Chesterfield and enjoys the diversity of high street general practice. He’s an enthusiastic participant in local continuing professional development and peer review and takes great pride in being a dentist who pays attention to every patient’s needs and detail, maintaining very high standards and delivering treatments in a relaxed and caring, ethical and professional manner in every case. Outside of work he loves the hills and the great outdoors, cycling and best of all, time with his family.

Mrs.Annette Briggs

Qualified from: Diploma Dental Therapy Sheffield, 2001

Annette qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist from the University of Sheffield in 2001 and joined the team in 2022. With a varied career ranging from NHS Community and Special Care Services to private practice and everything in between, Annette brings good clinical practice and empathy alike.
As dentistry has progressed over the years with new duties for Dental Hygienists and Therapists available, Annette has enjoyed adding to her clinical skill set. Preventing gum disease and tooth decay are her top priorities and she endeavors to help patients improve their oral health.
Out of work, Annette loves the outdoors, cosy cafes and nice holidays. (Who doesn’t)
