Dr .Saif Mohammed

Saif was born and raised in Middlesbrough. He studied dentistry in Valencia and graduated Grado en Odontologia European University of Valencia 2022. Saif is committed to staying in his home town of Middlesbrough and joined {my}dentist Avante in 2024 following his foundation dentist training at another {my}dentist practice.
Saif is very dedicated to promotion in preventative care and oral health. He is very keen in restorative dentistry such as white fillings, crowns, bridges and dentures which he is able to provide on the both the NHS and privately.
In his spare time he likes to travel the world, exercise and spend time with his family and friends.

Dr.Abdel Moeed Ahmad

Moeed is a local family man committed to the practice and the community. On completion of his dentistry degree at the University of Liverpool (with honours) in 2013, Moeed has worked as a Dental Practitioner and has been with the practice since January 2016. He has a keen interest in Restorative Dentistry completing many postgraduation courses including the Diploma in Implant Dentistry (DipImp) at Newcastle University where he graduated with a merit. Moeed has been an Educational Supervisor since 2020 – a role which he mentors and trains newly qualified dentists in the area. He believes that giving someone the confidence to face the world with a big smile can make a huge difference to people’s quality of life. He places importance on precision and meticulous attention to detail to deliver the highest possible standard of care and treatment whilst ensuring his patients feel comfortable and confident with him. Moeed takes pride in all aspects of his work offering private orthodontic (teeth straightening) and aesthetic treatments (veneers/crowns / bridges etc.) to create great smiles for his patients. His interests outside dentistry include travelling, reading, and watching films.

Dr.Jamie Garbutt

Jamie was born and raised in the Stockton-on-Tees area. Jamie graduated at Newcastle University in 2021 and is committed to working in his home town providing the best and most up to date treatment for his patients, whilst developing good relationships with them to maintain their oral health and confidence. Jamie has a keen interest in restorative dentistry including white fillings, crowns, bridges and dentures through both NHS and private options. In Jamie's spare time he enjoys travelling anywhere from cities to beaches and spending time with his friends and family.

Dr.Meenu Dalal

Meenu qualified as a BDS in 2007 and then completed her statutory exams in 2013 leading to registration with the GDC. She has been practicing dentistry since and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a keen interest in preventing dental disease. Meenu started working with {my}dentist in 2024.
Since qualifying, she has completed several courses which has enabled her to offer many teeth straightening treatments such as Invisalign Go, lnman Aligners, ClearCorrect and also composite bonding treatment. Outside of work Meenu enjoys Bollywood music, yoga and going on walks with her 2 children and her maltipoo little fur buddy.

Dr.Michal Polubinski

Michal qualified as a dentist at the Medical University of Bialystok in 1994. He moved to the UK in 2005 and after working in various practices in the South of England and in Scotland, he decided to settle in North Yorkshire.
Michal is a very experienced dentist and loves all aspects of dentistry from general dental treatments to complex treatments and currently works at 2 {my}dentist practices in Middlesbrough and Stockton.
Michal developed an interest in dental implants and has completed his general and advanced dental practical courses in dental implants in 2014.
In his spare time, Michal enjoys sailing and also loves to ski and swim.

Dr.Rachel Emmott

Rachel completed her training and qualified from Leeds in 2020. Rachel has been working in general practice since then and joined {my}dentist at the end of 2021. Rachel enjoys the variety of her working day and interacting with people from different demographics. She gains job satisfaction in knowing that she has provided treatment to the best of her ability. Rachel is looking forward to being able to continue this with the provision of private dental care.
Rachel has a keen interest in the aesthetic side of dentistry, particularly dentures, crown and bridge work.
In her spare time, she’s a keen runner and hiker, so you'll most likely find her somewhere in the moors!

Miss.Alina Florina Briscan

Alina qualified from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Oradea in 2018. She then went on to gain her Masters Degree in Public Health Care Management at the same Faculty.
She has worked as a general dental practitioner in a private practice and has also spent time working as a Manager for HH Resources and Dental Education. Alina continuously seeks out training and professional development opportunities that allow her to remain aware and knowledgeable about new dental techniques and the latest technology being considered or used.
Alina moved to the UK in 2019 and started working as a general dental practitioner in North Yorkshire with a special interest in teeth straightening using clear aligners, cosmetic and restorative dentistry including smile makeovers. She considers the dental surgery her second home, doing what she loves.
Her mission is to provide comprehensive dental services to all patients in an environment that is safe, reassuringly pleasant and comfortable. She considers dentistry to be the perfect combination between a doctor, engineer and an artist and with these skills she strives to provide the best possible care for her patients, having their smile as the best feedback and reward for her work.

Miss.Anu Gurung

Anu is a dental hygienist and therapist registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). She helps with gum treatment, educating patients about their oral health and doing procedures to repair the teeth such as using tooth-coloured fillings.
Anu graduated from Teesside University in 2023 with qualifications in both dental hygiene and dental therapy. Before that she worked as a dental nurse, gaining experience and learning from the experienced dentists at {my}dentist. Her goal is to make her patients’ teeth look and feel great. She's enthusiastic about learning and improving so she can provide patients with the best advice and treatments.
Her aim is to advance her career by being part of a team that’s always brainstorming new ideas and methods to ensure her patients are happy and have healthy teeth.

Mr.Mircea-Mihai Neacsu

Mihai qualified in 2000 from Carol Davila University, Bucharest. For eight years, Mihai worked in his own private dental practice in Bucharest.
He relocated to the UK in 2008 to work as a general dental practitioner. In 2009 he developed an interest in managing anxious patients by using conscious sedation. Mihai worked towards his Post Graduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation at Newcastle University.
In 2017, Mihai was appointed an Educational Supervisor role for newly qualified dentists for Yorkshire Deanery.
In 2018 he joined {my}dentist. Mihai loves dentistry, which he describes as ‘a mixture of art, technology, psychology’ and he is completely devoted to helping patients feel at ease and relaxed during treatment.
Mihai has a long-standing interest in root canal treatments (endodontics), restorative dentistry and is keen to constantly improve his knowledge and skills.
In 2020 he was awarded Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics from University of Chester (Simplyendo) where he is continuing studies towards a Masters in Endodontics.
As a dentist with enhanced skills in endodontics (DwESE), he is accepting referrals for root canal treatments in many {my}dentist practices.
Away from the practice, Mihai is a keen tennis player and likes to test his DIY skills in different projects.

Mrs.Alison Hodgson

Alison qualified in 2003 from Newcastle Dental Hospital University. She worked at a busy NHS practice with anxious patients and private practices over the years. At present she works in an independent private practice as well as {my}dentist Avante Dental Care. Alison is also a clinical supervisor at Teesside University supporting students through their hygiene course.
Her passion is periodontal treatment, and she still enjoys making a difference whilst ensuring the patient has a pleasant experience whilst in her care.
Outside of work she enjoys family time at the caravan with dog walks & paddle boarding and playing her saxophone.

Mrs.Emma Louise Walker

Emma has lived in the North East since 2016 but was born and raised in Wallasey, near Liverpool. She started her career in dentistry as a dental nurse at the age of 17. She spent 15 years in this role and raised two children. In 2018, she enrolled on an online, nine-month Access Course to the Health Sciences, gaining 45 credits at distinction, which helped her gain entry into University to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy. In July 2022 she gained a first class honours degree and is having her dissertation published in 2023. Emma has plans to go onto complete a PhD in Dental Research in the next few years.
In her spare time, Emma loves to spend time with her family and enjoys horse riding, keeping fit and socialising with friends.
