Dr.Kumar Akundi
Qualified from: BDS MFDSRCS(Eng) MDS (Orthodontics) Specialist in Orthodontics India, 1996

Kumar completed his Masters in Orthodontics Degree in 2000. He subsequently has worked in Orthodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at various NHS hospitals in Yorkshire and Bedfordshire and has completed his membership exam in dental surgery.
Since 2011 he has been working as an Orthodontist at Orthoworld in Colchester, Essex.
Kumar Relocated to the Fylde and joined Orthoworld Blackpool in April 2016 and joined {my}dentist Fleetwood in April 2022. He works at both practices, within the company.
Kumar treats both NHS and Private patients. He offers various teeth straightening treatments such as NHS teen braces, Vivera retainers, Invisalign clear teeth aligners and invisible braces.
Outside the practice Kumar loves spending time with his family and enjoys travelling and playing tennis.

Miss.Hollie Cornwell

Hollie started her dental career in 2014 in general practice and successfully gained her Dental Nursing Diploma in 2017. She later went on to do post qualifications in Fluoride Application and Dental Radiography with the BDA. Hollie joined Orthoworld Blackpool early 2023. Hollie's role as practice manager is to ensure the practice is compliant and all policies and procedures are followed. She is responsible for the health, safety & welfare of her staff and the patients. She thoroughly enjoys leading an incredible and devoted team. Outside of work Hollie travels around the country and across Europe showing her British Shorthair pedigree cats for championship.

Miss.Lydia Bradley

Lydia started her career in Dentistry in 2017 when she successfully qualified as a Dental Nurse. Lydia's role at Orthoworld Blackpool is Head Nurse. She joined the practice in 2020. Lydia has gone on to gain qualifications in Dental Radiography and Orthodontic Nursing, she is keen for developing and expanding her knowledge within the industry. Lydia enjoys working with the public and helping people to achieve a perfect smile, from fixed appliances or Invisalign, it’s a rewarding feeling. She works with every clinician at the practice, so no day is the same, she supports in both NHS and Private clinics. Outside of work you will find Lydia walking her dog, socialising with friends and family or on holiday experiencing different countries and their cultures.

Mrs.Abigail Taylor

Abi started her dental career in 2004 when she successfully qualified as a Dental nurse. She joined Orthoworld Blackpool in June 2021. She is dedicated to her role and says she loves everything about her job! Abi works chair side and provides support to Orthodontists and Orthodontic Therapists during treatments, her favourite treatment is to assist with the fitting of fixed braces and caring for patients throughout their journey in the practice. She finds is highly rewarding when patients are satisfied with their enhanced smiles after treatment. Outside of work Abi is devoted to raising money for charity, going on walks with her dog Lola and spending quality time with family and friends.

Mrs.Kirsten Hayden

Kirsten has spent most of her career in Dentistry. She also works dual site at another My{dentist} practice, Leamington road. She has worked at My{dentist} Leamington Road for 29 years and joined Orthoworld Blackpool 7 years ago, part-time as a Dental nurse. Kirsten successfully gained a post qualification in Dental Radiography back in 2005. Kirsten is always seen with a smile on her face, she really reassures patients who are nervous. She likes all aspects of her job. She mainly assists the Orthodontists and Orthodontic therapists during NHS treatments. Outside of work Kirsten enjoys spending time with her family and going on long dog walks

Mrs.Maria Melville

Maria started her Orthodontic career in 2009 working for {my}dentist, at the age of 19 she trained to become an Orthodontic Dental nurse, successfully qualifying in 2011. Maria has always shown dedication and determination, making it her goal to become an Orthodontic Therapist.
In order to make this a reality, Maria used her same determination and gained her Dental Radiography and impression qualifications in 2012, this allowed her to expand her dental nurse responsibilities within the practice, gaining a wealth of experience within both private and NHS clinics.
Fast forward to 2016, Maria started her diploma in Orthodontic Therapy at Manchester Dental University and later graduated in June 2017 from the Royal College of Surgeons. Maria is still, always expanding her knowledge at every given opportunity.
Maria still remains a valuable and well-loved member of staff at Orthoworld. She strives to see our patients develop confidence as their smile is created.

Mrs.Siobhan O'Farrell

Siobhan is an enthusiastic, dynamic Orthodontic Therapist working for {my}dentist.
Siobhan began her career in orthodontics in 2003 and has over 20 years’ experience. Throughout her career Siobhan has shown great dedication to her work and has great knowledge and understanding in all aspects of her field.
Siobhan first qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2004 and her passion and drive for orthodontics and dentistry helped her quickly develop a very exciting career.
She has gained qualifications in Dental Radiography, Orthodontic Dental nursing and then achieved her diploma in Orthodontic Therapy after studying at Manchester Dental University and graduating from the Royal college of Surgeons in 2014.
Before she came an Orthodontic Therapist, Siobhan had a successful career as a treatment co-ordinator doing a number of courses to ensure our patients have an exquisite experience at the practice. Siobhan later won a trip to Dubai along with three other treatment co-ordinators from the company, to reward their hard work and continuous commitment.
Siobhan’s hard work continues at Orthoworld, she is a real integral member of the team always showing hard work, care and dedication to our patients.

Mrs.Tracey Seville-Parkins

Tracey is one of Orthoworld Blackpool's most knowledgeable and experienced Orthodontic Therapists. With over 20 years of experience in the dental field, Tracey started her career in 1999 as a Trainee Dental Nurse in Derbyshire.
Once qualified in 2001 Tracey relocated to Blackpool and joined Orthoworld where she started her training to become a Orthodontic Dental Nurse. During this time Tracey also qualified as an Dental Radiographer, and achieved a qualification in Oral Health Education in 2008.
Tracey's successes did not go unnoticed as she was accepted onto one of the first Orthodontic Therapy courses at Manchester Dental University. Achieving high grades, Tracey was awarded with Most Outstanding Log Book and Reflective Practice.
Once qualified Tracey began gaining more experience within the Blackpool practice carrying out PAR scoring, in which she became calibrated in 2012.
Tracey still shows the same passion for her role as she did twenty years ago. Now working in NHS and Private clinic's Tracey is now one of the most senior members of the team.
