About mydentist, Crown point, Denton

Welcome to mydentist Crown point, Denton. We have recently merged our existing mydentist Victoria Street, and mydentist Borough Arcade, Hyde and relocated into a brand-new state-of-the-art practice, with all the latest technology. We have 11 surgeries which are all ground floor level, with wheelchair and disabled access. We are providers of both NHS and Private treatments, including our {my}options affordable private scheme. Some of our private treatments include dentures, dental implants, bridges, Zoom whitening, Boutique whitening & Enlighten teeth whitening, veneers, SmileFast, composite veneers and various short term orthodontic treatments including removable braces, such as Invisalign and ClearCorrect as well as fixed braces with Quick Straight Teeth. We can also offer a range of finance options if this is required. The retail park offers 3-hour free parking. The practice is easily accessible via public transport, there are bus stops directly in front of the retail park with regular local buses serving the surrounding area. Monika has been working in the UK since 2012. She graduated from Vilnius University in Lithuania in 2008. Since university Monika has also attended quite a few courses, these include short term adult orthodontics (teeth straightening) and she provides treatment with both Invisalign clear aligners and Quick Straight Teeth braces. In her free time she enjoys traveling, photography and is a beginner in gardening. Dr. Ali Ahmed is a dedicated and compassionate dentist committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Cardiff Dental School and went on to complete his foundation training in South Manchester, where he further developed his clinical expertise and patient-focused approach. With a keen interest in restorative dentistry, Ali has already completed an aligner course to offer teeth straightening to his patients with clear braces and is eager to further enhance his skills through advanced certifications in restorative techniques. He believes in providing personalised care tailored to each patient’s needs, ensuring a comfortable and reassuring experience. His calm and approachable demeanour helps put even the most anxious patients at ease. Outside of dentistry, Ali enjoys staying active through tennis, gym workouts, and other sports. Dr. Noura Nur graduated with honours in dentistry from Khartoum in 2014. She moved to the UK in 2020 and continued her professional development with postgraduate diplomas in Fixed Prosthodontics and Oral Dermatology and Venereology from prestigious French universities. Noura has also completed training in ClearCorrect aligners (teeth straightening with clear braces)and Smilefast composite veneers. With over 10 years of experience in general dentistry, Dr. Nur is skilled in providing both NHS and private dental care. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, which includes aligners, whitening, and composite bonding. Noura is fluent in French, Arabic, and English, which allows her to connect with a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds. Dr. Sahar Hashmat graduated from Hamrad University in Karachi, Pakistan in 2010 and went on to obtain her GDC registration in the UK in 2018. Sahar now practices as both a private and NHS clinician at Crown Point. Sahar is a passionate dentist with many years of experience in general dentistry. As well as this, Sahar keeps her clinical skills up to date by attending multiple courses and workshops throughout the year. She has special interest in ClearCorrect aligners (teeth straightening with clear braces) and composite bonding, both for its aesthetic and practical benefits. Sahar aims to pursue a qualification in both dental implants and facial derma injections soon. Ultimately, Sahar loves what she does and strives to put a smile on all her patients’ faces.

Dr. Tanzeelah Azam is a dental hygiene therapist. She graduated in Oral Health Science from the University of Manchester in 2019 with distinction. After completing her foundation training, she has worked in both NHS and private practices. She has a strong research interest, is currently working towards her PhD qualification in Dental Public Health and has teaching experience with undergraduate students. Currently, Tanzeelah is a hygiene therapist in the Manchester area. She is passionate about evidence-based practice and is currently working towards her own publications, as well as having presented her work nationally and internationally. She is active with continuing professional development, attending courses and conferences to keep her up to date. Her goal is to always put patients at ease while in surgery and in her spare time, she likes travelling and spending time with family and friends.

What are dental implants?
Dental implants are a fixed solution for missing teeth that are the closest possible replacement for natural teeth. They involve one or more titanium screws being inserted into your jawbone to mimic a natural tooth root. Dental crowns are securely attached to these to fill the gaps in your mouth. Because dental implants are securely anchored in your jaw you’ll have the confidence to comfortably eat whatever you like.

Consultation Your initial consultation will be with either our Implant Surgeon or Treatment Coordinator (TCO), who can discuss the different types of implants, single or multiple depending on your need. Following this there may be a need for a more clinical focused consultation.
Diagnostic Scans We will carry out a number of digital scans, to build a digital 3D model of your mouth so we can get a clear picture of the area we will place the implant, and a more detailed X-ray using a Cone Beam Computer Tomography scanner so that our Implant surgeon can assess the state of the bone below the gum to get a really clear picture of your treatment need.
Treatment Plan Once our experienced implant surgeon has assessed all of you scans they will explain the nature of your treatment, the stages involved and costs. We offer flexible payment options to make implants even more affordable.
Commence Treatment Once you are happy we will begin treatment. The length and numbers of appointments will vary depending on the complexity of your particular need, but your Implant Surgeon will have detailed all of this in your treatment plan.
Implant Placed Once the implant(s) are placed it may be necessary it might be necessary to allow time for healing before attaching the replacement teeth. Once we are happy the implant has healed we will arrange a series of appointments to fabricate the replacement teeth.
Aftercare Your Implant Surgeon will advise you about looking after your implant and may well give you some painkillers to help with the pain over the days after your surgery as well as detailed advice about cleaning the implants and the teeth attached to them.
