About mydentist, Bedford Street, Leigh

Welcome to {my}dentist Bedford Street, Leigh. Our 13 clinicians cover a variety of NHS, private and {my}options treatment plans including teeth straightening, dentures, composite bonding and inhouse and take-home teeth whitening (with a choice of Phillips Zoom or Enlighten), as well as hygiene appointments with our very own Hygienist Miss Charlotte Bond. We are now providing Invisalign, ClearCorrect and Six-Month Smiles, a short-term orthodontic treatment. In our team we have Mrs Gemma Buffey who has previously won Dental Therapist of the Year. If you have any questions or would like to book in for a consultation the team would love to hear from you. You can also find out more practice information on our Facebook and Instagram pages.     Dr. Mani began her dental journey with undergraduate training in India, before moving to the UK to further her expertise. She earned her LDS from the Royal College of Surgeons in London and her MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow. After successfully completing her vocational training year, her mild and gentle nature quickly endeared her to both patients and staff. Mani has a special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, focusing on Denture Excellence, Crowns, Veneers, Tooth Whitening, and modern orthodontic solutions like Invisalign. As an Invisalign provider, she utilises the advanced 3D iTero scanner for both Invisalign treatments and restorative work, ensuring precision and enhanced patient outcomes. Passionate about all fields of dentistry and new innovations, Mani regularly attends courses to stay at the forefront of dental care, continually striving to provide the best possible treatments for her patients.

Since then, he has been a dedicated member of the {my}dentist Bedford Street dental surgery team in Leigh. Dr. Marius has cultivated a special interest and passion for endodontics (root canal treatments). His commitment to this field led him to complete a postgraduate certificate in endodontology at the University of Chester in 2016. He is an active member of both the British Endodontic Society and the European Society of Endodontology. Dr. Marius is dedicated to advancing his expertise in endodontics and now offers private endodontic treatments to our patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality care for their dental needs.

She is also a skilled composite bonding provider, having transformed numerous smiles with her precise and artistic approach. Additionally, Noor offers Enlighten teeth whitening, helping patients achieve brighter, whiter smiles. She recently passed her MJDF examination with the Royal College of Surgeons, London, and has since joined {my}dentist as an associate. Saimah is certified in both Invisalign and Denture Excellence. Her training in Denture Excellence allows her to provide high-quality denture solutions, ensuring comfort, functionality, and aesthetics for her patients. She is skilled in the latest techniques and materials, which enable her to create custom dentures that fit seamlessly and look natural. She is passionate about all aspects of dentistry and regularly attends courses and conferences to enhance her knowledge and provide the best possible care for her patients. Her particular interests lie in general restorative dentistry and short-term orthodontics. Additionally, Saimah has volunteered in Southeast Asia, providing dental treatment to underprivileged communities in Vietnam and Cambodia.

What are dental implants?
Dental implants are a fixed solution for missing teeth that are the closest possible replacement for natural teeth. They involve one or more titanium screws being inserted into your jawbone to mimic a natural tooth root. Dental crowns are securely attached to these to fill the gaps in your mouth. Because dental implants are securely anchored in your jaw you’ll have the confidence to comfortably eat whatever you like.

  • Consultation Your initial consultation will be with either our Implant Surgeon or Treatment Coordinator (TCO), who can discuss the different types of implants, single or multiple depending on your need. Following this there may be a need for a more clinical focused consultation.

  • Diagnostic Scans We will carry out a number of digital scans, to build a digital 3D model of your mouth so we can get a clear picture of the area we will place the implant, and a more detailed X-ray using a Cone Beam Computer Tomography scanner so that our Implant surgeon can assess the state of the bone below the gum to get a really clear picture of your treatment need.

  • Treatment Plan Once our experienced implant surgeon has assessed all of you scans they will explain the nature of your treatment, the stages involved and costs. We offer flexible payment options to make implants even more affordable.

  • Commence Treatment Once you are happy we will begin treatment. The length and numbers of appointments will vary depending on the complexity of your particular need, but your Implant Surgeon will have detailed all of this in your treatment plan.

  • Implant Placed Once the implant(s) are placed it may be necessary it might be necessary to allow time for healing before attaching the replacement teeth. Once we are happy the implant has healed we will arrange a series of appointments to fabricate the replacement teeth.

  • Aftercare Your Implant Surgeon will advise you about looking after your implant and may well give you some painkillers to help with the pain over the days after your surgery as well as detailed advice about cleaning the implants and the teeth attached to them.
