Dental implants at Bristol Specialist Dental Clinic

  • Do you find it difficult to eat your favourite foods, enjoy a juicy steak or bite an apple?
  • Are you embarrassed to smile, or do you suffer from confidence issues because of missing, broken or loose teeth?
  • Are your dentures loose and do you worry about them falling out?

If your answer is yes to any of these questions, dental implants could be right for you. Here at Bristol Specialist Dental Clinic our experienced dental implant surgeons can help you regain confidence in your smile with a permanent solution for any number of missing teeth.

What are dental implants?
Dental implants are a fixed solution for missing teeth that are the closest possible replacement for natural teeth. They involve one or more titanium screws being inserted into your jawbone to mimic a natural tooth root. Dental crowns are securely attached to these to fill the gaps in your mouth. Because dental implants are securely anchored in your jaw you’ll have the confidence to comfortably eat whatever you like.

The main benefits of dental implants:

  • Replace loose-fitting dentures
  • Maintain bone structure after tooth loss
  • Improve the appearance of your smile
  • Boost your confidence
  • Function and feel just like natural teeth
  • Improve chewing and speaking
  • Long term solution
  • High success rate

Dental implants are a well-established treatment for replacing missing teeth. As they are inserted directly into your jawbone they help prevent bone loss or movement of your remaining teeth, helping to maintain the structure of your face.

Your Treatment Co-ordinator

All dental implant patients are supported by a dedicated treatment co-ordinator, starting with your initial consultation. They will help you understand each stage of the implant process, what to expect, and discuss the various finance options available.

If you are interested in finding out more about implants, you can book a free consultation with one of our friendly Treatment Co-ordinators for a no obligation conversation about your options and to see if implants are the right choice for you.

Call us on 0117 923 8400 to find out more

  • Consultation Your initial consultation will be with either our Implant Surgeon or Treatment Coordinator (TCO), who can discuss the different types of implants, single or multiple depending on your need. Following this there may be a need for a more clinical focused consultation.

  • Diagnostic Scans We will carry out a number of digital scans, to build a digital 3D model of your mouth so we can get a clear picture of the area we will place the implant, and a more detailed X-ray using a Cone Beam Computer Tomography scanner so that our Implant surgeon can assess the state of the bone below the gum to get a really clear picture of your treatment need.

  • Treatment Plan Once our experienced implant surgeon has assessed all of you scans they will explain the nature of your treatment, the stages involved and costs. We offer flexible payment options to make implants even more affordable.

  • Commence Treatment Once you are happy we will begin treatment. The length and numbers of appointments will vary depending on the complexity of your particular need, but your Implant Surgeon will have detailed all of this in your treatment plan.

  • Implant Placed Once the implant(s) are placed it may be necessary it might be necessary to allow time for healing before attaching the replacement teeth. Once we are happy the implant has healed we will arrange a series of appointments to fabricate the replacement teeth.

  • Aftercare Your Implant Surgeon will advise you about looking after your implant and may well give you some painkillers to help with the pain over the days after your surgery as well as detailed advice about cleaning the implants and the teeth attached to them.

Specialist endodontic treatment at Bristol Specialist Dental Clinic

Are you looking to get to the root of the problem when it comes to your teeth?

At Bristol Specialist Dental Clinic, we specialise in endodontic care to preserve your natural teeth and ensure optimal oral health.

Endodontics includes procedures such as root canal therapy, apicoectomy, and treatment for dental trauma. Our experienced clinicians conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and effectively address root canal issues.

Whether you require root canal treatment to save a tooth or retreatment for a previous procedure, your comfort and safety are our top priorities. We use state-of-the-art technology for thorough treatment and successful outcomes. Our team is dedicated to supporting you every step of the way, ensuring your confidence in our care.

What is endodontic treatment?

Endodontic treatment, commonly known as root canal treatment, focuses on the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases or injuries affecting the dental pulp and surrounding tissues of the teeth. The dental pulp, located inside the tooth, contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue. When the pulp becomes diseased or injured due to decay, trauma, or infection, endodontic treatment is necessary to save the tooth from extraction. The procedure involves removing the diseased pulp, cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, and sealing them to prevent further infection.

Benefits of endodontic treatment

Endodontic treatment allows for the preservation of natural teeth that would otherwise require extraction due to pulp infection or damage.

Pain relief

The procedure alleviates severe toothache caused by inflamed or infected dental pulp, providing immediate pain relief.

Prevention of spread of infection

By removing infected tissue and sealing the root canals, endodontic treatment prevents the spread of infection to the surrounding teeth and tissues.

After treatment and restoration, the tooth can function normally for biting, chewing, and speaking, like a natural tooth.

Cosmetic benefits

Saving natural teeth through endodontic treatment helps maintain a natural smile and facial aesthetics.

Long-term cost savings

Endodontic treatment is a cost-effective solution compared to tooth extraction followed by replacement with bridges, implants, or dentures.

Supports overall oral health
