Dr.Doina Vulcu

Dr Vulcu qualified as a Dentist in 1995 from The Faculty of Dentistry Targu-Mures, Romania. Five years later she became a Specialist in Orthodontics, entering the UK Orthodontics Specialist List in 2010 and becoming a member of the British Orthodontic Society. After completing numerous hours of postgraduate courses in Orthodontics, Doina has a specialist interest in the Invisalign clear aligner system. Dr Vulcu has extensive experience working with both adults and children, taking great pride in offering the best orthodontic treatments possible. Listening to her patients, she creates bespoke treatment plans to suit all individual needs, ensuing a unique patient experience. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, travelling and spending time with family including her mischievous dog Max.

Dr.Peter Brook

Peter has been an Orthodontic Specialist since 1986. Working mostly in specialist practice since then, treating adults and children both NHS and Private. For many years he has been a Platinum Plus Invisalign Orthodontist treating over 100 cases a year. He received additional training with the “Invisalign Teen” range of products to enable him to provide better Invisalign treatments for younger patients. In addition to Invisalign, Peter has extensive experience with conventional fixed braces, and the range of more cosmetic fixed braces currently available.
Peter is married with three children and two grandchildren. He enjoys sailing and is a qualified Yachtmaster Offshore. Photography and diving are amongst his other hobbies.

Miss.Jessica Harry

Jessica began Dental Nursing in 2012 at Laffan Family Dental Practice in Blackwood, South Wales. She continued nursing in Pontypridd before starting at Newport Orthodontic Centre in 2015, qualifying in 2016. Jess also gained qualifications in Impression Taking and Radiography (BDA). Jessica began her Orthodontic Therapy training in Bristol at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh qualifying in 2017 and has since been added to the British Orthodontic Society list of calibrated PAR scorers after completing the IOTN and PAR scoring course, also in 2017. Jessica completed her Fluoride Application course in 2019 before joining the team at {my}orthodontist, Plymouth in 2020.

After being a dental nurse for over 10 years I decided I was ready for some more responsibility and I was lucky enough to be accepted at warwick university to start studying to become an orthodontic therapist. After my time at university I started my exciting new role. I love being part of the crescent team to give our patients their happiest smiles, which is very rewarding. In my spare time I love to be with my family and friends taking long walks with my dog and also braving wild swims in the sea. I look forward to meeting you all.

Miss.Sally Chapman

Sally is originally from Cardiff and moved to Plymouth in 2012 to train as a dental nurse. On completion of her dental nurse training she joined {my}orthodontist in Plymouth in 2014. During her time nursing she gained her radiography and impression taking post qualifications and in 2015 she started her Orthodontic Therapy training back in Cardiff, attending Preston University and qualifying in 2016. In September 2019 Sally was nominated and shortlisted as Orthodontic Therapist of the year and attended the clinical conference as V.I.P guest. Since working here Sally has been inundated with positive feedback from our patients and she continues to put anxious patients at ease.

Mr.Benjamin David J Hastings

Benjamin graduated in 2015 at the University of Dundee and has recently joined the team at {my}orthodontist, The Crescent, Plymouth. Benjamin enjoys providing care for all aspects of general dentistry and is studying towards providing sedation and implant treatments. Benjamin especially enjoys helping to build nervous patient’s confidence in the surgery and seeing people being happy with a new smile. He strives to provide clear communication of all the available options and to deliver pain free and relaxing treatment
He prides himself on his gentle and calming approach, whilst maintaining the highest standards of dental care. In his spare time, Ben enjoys spending time in the beautiful Devon country side, with his Boxer Bessie and daughter Rose.

Ms.Emma Duncalf

Emma has worked in dentistry since 2013, qualifying as a Dental Therapist & Dental Hygienist in 2020 and joined the Crescent {my}dentist team as a Hygienist in April 2022. Emma has grown up in Devon and enjoys activities such as horse riding, dog walking and surfing. Emma tailors her dental hygiene appointments and treatment plans to the individual person, from anxious patients, patients that have never seen a dental hygienist before, to patients that have appointments every three months. Emma is passionate about providing people with the knowledge to empower themselves to take control of their oral health and overall wellbeing.
