Dr.Gaetano Fundaro

Gaetano graduated as Dental Surgeon from the Dental School of Palermo
University in Italy in 2002, following which he entered the private practice in
Alcamo.
In 2003 he moved to Germany were he trained extensively in field of oral surgery
and then in private practice.
IN 2004, Gaetano started to practice in general dental practice NHS and private in
Somerset, meanwhile pursuing postgraduate training in the field of Prosthodontics,
the branch of dentistry focusing on restoring or replacing damaged or missing
teeth. Gaetano has attained a Certificate in Implantology from UCL Eastman
Dental School and in 2009 the UCL Post Graduate Certificate in Advance
Aesthetic Dentistry.
He has participated to different courses in UK and abroad to upgrade his skills.
He currently practices in Bridgwater at the new Advanced Oral Health Centre, Bridge House and also across several practices in Somerset. Gaetano also offers clear aligner teeth straightening treatment using the clear correct system. In his spare time, Gaetano loves returning to Italy to visit family and friends and spending quality time with his partner and 3 young children.

Dr.Gerardo Bassanini Pertusa

Gerardo graduated in 2009 from Madrid Dental School in 2009, his home town in Spain. Shortly after graduation Gerardo moved to Uk, where he spent 12 months working in a Community Dental Hospital in Lincolnshire, before relocating to Somerset.
Gerardo's passion lies in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery, he also has further interests in Facial Aesthetics, Invisalign, Implant Dentistry and all aspects of Cosmetic Dentistry. Gerardo has received extensive training in Oral Surgery, he completed a one year program at the University of Bristol & also completed a 4 year Clinical Masters Training Program in Restorative Dentistry at the prestigious UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
Gerardo strongly believes that the health of teeth & gums is a priority, however he has also recognised the importance of a beautiful, natural smile and so he helps, educates and advises the best outcome for his patients, to achieve their perfect smile.
In his free time Gerardo frequently travels back to his home town of Madrid, where he enjoys spending time with his family.

Dr.Laxmi Hegde

Laxmi is a general dentist qualifying in 2010 from Ghandi in India. Before leaving India and moving to the UK, Laxmi worked in a private practice in India for 3 years, this is where she gained valuable knowledge and an intertest in smile makeovers and prosthodontics.
Laxmi has worked in the UK since 2016 in another NHS practice. She is currently pursuing her Mclindent in fixed and removable prosthodontics from King's College London. Laxmi enjoys practicing general dentistry and has a special interest in providing Invisalign, smile makeovers, veneers and composite bonding. Laxmi loves to transform smiles.
Apart from Dentistry, Laxmi is also an avid baker and enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes. She also enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.

Dr.Nicola Stock

Dr Nicola Stock, known as Nicky amongst her colleagues and patients, graduated from The University of Birmingham in 1992. It was at the University where Nicky was recognised for her academic achievement in Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics and Oral Surgery.
Nicky is passionate about providing excellent dental care in a welcoming environment. Her extensive experience, including International Practice and advanced training in areas of Implantology & Aesthetic Dentistry is what ensures her patients receive the highest quality of treatment.
Having spent 17 years practicing in Germany, Nicky also speaks the language fluently.
Outside of dentistry, Nicky enjoys photography and is currently studying Sports Massage, which demonstrates her commitment to health & well being.

Dr.Smriti Verma

Smriti completed her BDS from D.Y.Patil Dental College and Hospital in 2003, Plus Qualified in Endodontics at the University of Chester England in 2022. After graduating she worked as a Dental Surgeon at Yerla Dental College and Hospital (Mumbai) in Prosthodontic department branch of dentistry where she was responsible for only making dentures and crowns and bridges. She also entered private practice for more than 10 years in India. She passed her statutory exam to be able to practice in the UK in 2019 and joined Kilkenny Dental Practice in Taunton and since then has been performing general dentistry. Smriti also works at the Advanced Oral Health Centre, Bridge House in Bridgwater on a referral basis. She has completed her post graduate certificate in Endodontology from University of Chester and performs difficult and challenging root canal treatment on the teeth which otherwise would need extraction. She has attended many courses to update her knowledge.

Dr.Spyridon Siakoufis

Spyridon Siakoufis is a general dental practitioner with a special interest in periodontology.
Spyridon qualified as a general dentist in 2002 from the University of Thessalonini.
Spyridon started his career as a general dental practitioner straight from university and has been working as a general dentist in the UK since 2004, specifically working for {my}dentist. Spyridon practices across several practices in Somerset, mainly Taunton, Street and the new Advanced Oral Health Centre, Bridge House in Bridgwater.
While practising general dentistry Spyridon developed his interest in periodontology. Due to this interest Spyridon decided to study Periodontology and graduated from UCLAN in 2013 with an MSC in clinical periodontology.
In his spare time Spyridon enjoys the outdoors and his hobbies include distance running.

Ms.Julie Pavey
(Hygienist)

Julie qualified in 2001 with a CEB Certificate in Dental Hygiene and Dip Dent Therapy from the university of Wales.
Julie works with us here, in Yeovil on a part time basis amongst other practices in the Somerset area of {my}dentist. Throughout her time as a hygienist, she has worked in general practice, both in the NHS and privately, giving her a wide range of clinical experience and patient understanding. With this Julie excels in making her patients feel at ease and comfortable whilst promoting and maintaining oral hygiene for all of our patients, often making them want to smile again because Julie believes smiling is a big quality of life.
In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her children and grand children and travelling the world.

Dr.Ian James Toibin

Dr. Ian Toibin is a GDC registered Specialist Orthodontist, who has completed his Postgraduate Doctorate in Orthodontics at the prestigious Bristol Dental School, University of Bristol.
Dr. Toibin's career in dentistry began when he qualified as a Dental Hygienist & Therapist in 2001, Ian later qualified a General Dental Practitioner in 2009.
Dr Toibin had a keen interest in Orthodontics, working as a Specialty Doctor in a hospital setting and as a Dentist with a special interest in Orthodontics for 6 years.
Ian has extensive experience working with anxious pediatric patients across the UK, including the renowned Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool and in community services.
Outside of work, Ian is married with a little one and is keen on fitness and the outdoors. He loves swimming and especially long runs with his dog Sascha. He has completed 3 full-distance Iron man triathlon races, including the European Championships.
