After graduating from Newcastle Dental School, Josie has worked in both NHS and Private practices. In 2010, Josie completed the Francis Nohl Implant Course, allowing her to place and restore implants with bone augmentation where appropriate. This is an area of dentistry she is particularly passionate about – to be able to give patients their smiles and confidence back. Josie joined mydentist Dean Road in November 2024 as part of our ever expanding Implant Team and offers treatments from single tooth replacement to restoring full mouth dentition. Josie also enjoys oral surgery, orthodontics and restorative dentistry and is a member of the ITI and ADI. Josie lives in Newcastle with her 2 children and in her spare time, enjoys running, trips to the theatre and baking.

Dr Laura Smith qualified from Newcastle university in 2009 and has been working at Mydentist Wallsend for eight years, and is one of our long standing dentists.Covering all aspects of NHS dentistry, she also offers many private treatments such as tooth whitening, tooth coloured fillings and private crowns, bridges, veneers and dentures.Laura also has a keen interest in facial aesthetics - including anti-wrinkle injections - which she finds a welcome addition to her day to day dentistry.In her spare time she enjoys keeping fit, baking and travelling whenever possible!

Maisie Pritchard Therapist

Maisie Qualified from Newcastle University in 2023 with merit in clinical dentistry. Following this she completed her Foundation Dental Therapist Training Programme at Front Street and then decided to stay on at the practice. In addition to this, Maisie also completed an oral health education placement with a level 3 education & training qualification and is passionate about helping patients improve their oral health and hygiene through both treatment and education. Maisie enjoys treating anxious patients to allow them feel more comfortable. Her interests outside of work include travelling as much as possible and spending time with friends and family.
