    Dragos-George Popescu Orthodontist Qualified from: DMD Timisoara 2004 GDC No: 280429

    Dr. Popescu qualified as a General Dentist (DMD) in 2004, at University of Timisoara and started his career as an Associate General Dentist with a special interest in Endodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry. After 10 years his desire to continue his training and education led him to complete a three-year master’s degree in Orthodontics also at the University of Timisoara.Dragos became interested in Orthodontics as it requires to consider a multitude of factors including: functional occlusion, periodontal health, smile aesthetics, facial balance, airways, TMJ health, stability, whilst, placing all this into the context of a coherent treatment plan that addresses the needs, expectations, and goals of the patient. He enjoys, the challenges presented and problem-solving aspect of orthodontic malocclusions, as well seeing the results of his treatment planning, whether it is a beautiful smile, or better function.Dragos is keen to connect with his patients and team members, he endeavours to be a clear communicator who is happy to fully explain and discuss all treatment options, answer questions, and strives for perfection with every patient.In his spare time Dragos enjoys spending time with his family and plays tennis when time allows.

    Nicola Henderson Orthodontist Qualified from: MOrth Royal College of Surgeons Of England 1998 FDS Royal College of Surgeons Of England 1994 BDS University of Edinburgh 1990 GDC No: 65336

    Dr Nicky first trained as a dentist in Edinburgh, then accumulated a range of experience in various branches of the profession including a year lecturing at the University of Otago, New Zealand. She attained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England before training to be an orthodontist at London’s Eastman Dental Institute, obtaining a research MSc, and became a specialist in 1998. Since 2005 she has worked exclusively in private practice treating mostly adult patients, and has extensive experience in providing fixed appliances as well as Invisalign Aligners for all types of problems. She loves living in the country, enjoys running, cycling and generally keeping fit, plays brass instruments and keeps bees.

    Alison Yendell Orthodontic Therapist Qualified from: Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy University of Warwick 2015 Verified competency in Dental Nursing GDC No: 119025

    Alison qualified as a Dental Nurse in Wellington New Zealand whilst living out there for almost 3 years.After returning to the UK she continued her career working as a Dental Nurse for a private Periodontal practice in Surrey from 1997 to 2001. Then relocated London from 2001-2003 again in the periodontal field of dental nursing.In 2003 Alison was asked to return to Surrey and work in a mixed Specialist Private Practice which included Implantology, Oral Surgery, Periodontology and Endodontics.2009 Alison moved to an Orthodontic practice and whilst there realised she wished to pursue a career as an Orthodontic Therapist.After studying at Warwick University she qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist in 2015.Alison enjoys working as part of a team and also finds Orthodontics very rewarding. She enjoys getting to know and encourage and motivate patients through their Orthodontic journey.Outside of work she enjoys spending her time with her family especially her young son who she says keeps her on her toes and never fails to entertain. Alison also enjoys travelling, photography, reading and running.

    Joan Wells Orthodontic Therapist Qualified from: Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy University of Warwick 2009 National Certificate NEBDSA 1994 GDC No: 149097

    After having braces herself, Joan understands how important it is to give someone self-confidence by improving their smile. She has been working in Orthodontics since she was sixteen years old starting her career as a Dental Nurse in Newton Abbot. Joan then took a few years break to go travelling, working, and chasing the snow around the world. When the course she had always wanted to do was finally approved after 16 years of discussions, she returned and qualified as an Orthodontic Therapist in 2009 in Newton Abbott, then moving to Brighton in 2017. In 2020 Joan relocated to be closer to her family and joined the team at {my}orthodontist.

    Olivia Lewis Orthodontic Therapist Qualified from: Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy Royal College of Surgeons Of England 2016 National Diploma in Dental Nursing NEBDN 2012 GDC No: 235182

    Olivia started her career in dentistry in 2008 when she emigrated from Australia to the UK. After coming to the UK she trained in Dental Nursing in 2012 and Dental Radiography in 2013. She then specialised in Orthodontic Nursing and at Leeds Dental Hospital in 2015 gained the diploma in Orthodontic Therapy. In 2016 she moved to Somerset to join the Orthoworld team. She is passionate about providing a high standard of care to her patients and ensuring they are well supported throughout their treatment journey. In her spare time she is an avid baker and enjoys making cakes for special occasions for friends and family.
