Ema qualified as a dentist in Romania during 2007. She registered with the GDC in 2011 working around the UK, joining our practice in February 2023. Ema enjoys all aspects of NHS general dentistry and is a perfectionist. She believes in delivering the best available treatment to her patients in a timely manner, so if she can complete your treatment in your allocated appointment time – she will - helping to reduce the need for return visits. Ema will offer her patients all treatment options available in their dental journey and enjoys providing tooth restorative fillings. Ema like to see her patients return seeing the difference in their confidence and smile, gaining job satisfaction in knowing that she has provided dental treatment to the best of her ability.

Nicholas qualified as a dentist in Newcastle in 1995 and has an exceptional reputation running his own private dental practice in the Northeast. He further developed his skills in 2018 by attaining a master’s degree in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. Nick replaces missing teeth carrying out dental implant treatment and is continuing to expand his skills in this restorative field. He is qualified to deliver clear aligner treatment in practice using Invisalign to help his patients achieve that all important “great smile” being certified an Elite Invisalign provider. Nick works between practices but is 100% - fully committed to our practice and patients, going above and beyond to ensure treatments are completed on time. Outside of the surgery Nick likes his down time, enjoying skiing and is a keen golfer.

Robert Elliott GDP

Robert joined the practice in 2023 with a wealth of experience. Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, Robert studied dentistry at Sheffield University. He qualified as a dentist in 1991. Since his qualification, he has been a clinical director for a dental group and even owned his own NHS practice. Robert has a kind, caring approach to his work and utilises the dental therapist to carry out some treatments under prescription from Robert to keep his appointment waiting list down. Robert enjoys prosthetic treatments, providing patients with denture, crown and bridge treatments so they be confident in their smile. When Robert is not in surgery, he likes to travel spending time with family in both Newcastle and London.

My name is Shailesh Kuvelker, one of the dentists here at {my}dentist- Peterlee. I qualified in 1993 from Newcastle University after which I completed my 1yr vocational training year in Middlesbrough. After this I spent 2yrs studying for my Royal College of Surgeons qualification,DGDP(UK) ,which I received at the end of 1996. In 1998 I became the principal of 2 dental practices in East Durham, which I ran till moving here in 2020. During that time I was also an appointed vocational trainer for new graduates entering general practice after qualifying. I received my private pilots licence in 2010 and currently enjoy keeping fit and drumming in a local band. Since joining {my}dentist I have had the opportunities to expand my clinical skills, both NHS and private and now I am an accredited SmileFast clinician.

She joined Peterlee in 2022 and has built up an extensive list of loyal patients. Teona is committed to providing her patients with all treatment options available so they can make an informed decision regarding any treatment required. Teona enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and encourages patients to discuss their individual expectations with her. Teona enjoys providing teeth whitening treatment, taking pride in her work helping her patients to achieve a confident smile. Outside of dentistry Teona likes technology and enjoys walks and hikes with her family

Denyse is a seasoned dental hygienist with over three decades of experience since graduating from Newcastle University in 1989. Her commitment to improving oral health extends beyond the clinical practice. She has had the privilege of working with a dental hygiene products company, training dental staff to provide expert advice on the optimal use of various oral hygiene products. In practice, Denyse has an extensive list of loyal regular attending patients where she provides both the classic clean and sparkling clean air flow treatment which can support in removing tooth stains giving her patients the confidence to smile. Outside of Denyse's professional life, she takes immense pride in being a mother to two wonderful adult daughters. Her passion for dental health, combined with years of hands-on experience, allows her to provide top-notch care and personalised solutions to her patients. She looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the field of dental hygiene.

Holly studied in Newcastle and qualified in 2011. Gaining a wealth of experience over the years, and when not in Peterlee treating our patients, Holly can be found in the Newcastle Dental Hospital supporting, supervising, and training dentists and dental therapist graduates.Holly spends her time in Peterlee guiding and explaining patients’ treatment step by step to allow them to be fully in control of their dental treatment plans, offering both NHS & private treatments options allowing the patient to make an informed decision on any treatment required. Holly enjoys all aspects of general NHS dentistry and likes providing tooth restorative fillings. She is excellent with young children and nervous patients, building up gentle rapport and gaining their trust to be able to provide the treatment they require and offering excellent patient care.
