    Leanne graduated from Manchester University in 2007, She prides herself on providing a friendly, down to earth and realistic approach to dentistry and enjoys building long standing relationships with her patients,She enjoys treating anxious patients and particularly seeing the progress that regular care can result in.Leanne also undertakes facial aesthetics treatments, Invisalign (teeth straightening with clear braces), cosmetic fillings, composite bonding,crowns and teeth whitening treatments which she enjoys immensely. Moving forward Leanne is planning to undertake further post graduate study to allow her to undertake more complex restorative and aesthetic cases.Outside of dentistry Leanne enjoys long distance running, travel and spending time exploring the outdoors with her young family.

  • Thomas Owen
    Thomas Owen GDP Private Qualified from: BDS University of Sheffield 2016 GDC No: 265375

    Thomas graduated from The University of Sheffield with Honours before spending a year working as a Senior House Officer (SHO) in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Aintree and Arrowe Park hospitals. As a SHO, Thomas developed advanced skills in oral surgery and tooth extractions.Thomas has worked full time as a private general dentist for several years, but has a special interest in oral surgery including complex tooth extractions and dental implants. This work now occupies the majority of his time as Thomas visits dental practices in Greater Manchester and Cheshire to remove difficult teeth referred by other dentists and place dental implants. His latest achievement is the completion of a Masters Degree in Dental Implantology.Aside from oral surgery, Thomas is an experienced cosmetic dentist with a passion for integrating rehabilitation and aesthetics in patients with complex needs. Thomas’s calm and professional manner will shine through and enhance your dental experience. Thomas prides himself on communicating every aspect of patient care clearly to ensure that you feel in control.Outside of dentistry, Thomas loves food, live music, cycling and the gym.

    Alix Young GDP Qualified from: Mestrado em Medicina Dentaria (Dental Medicine) Egas Moniz Higher School of Health Sciences 2016 GDC No: 271999

    Alix graduated in 2016 from Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde Egas Moniz, Lisbon, Portugal.In 2018 she moved to United Kingdom, Nottingham, and worked as general dentist for just over 3 years. After this she decided to move and work in Weymouth, Dorset before joining our team and moving up North to be closer to her partner and his family in October 2023. Alix has a relaxed and empathetic personality, helping anxious patients overcome their dental fears and hopefully becoming more confident with their smiles. Outside work, Alix loves to cook and travel to Portugal to visit her family and friends.

    Amina Malek GDP Qualified from: Statutory Exam 2016 BDS Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences 2012 GDC No: 267811

    Amina is our general NHS Dentist who completed her Bachelor’s of Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (India) in 2012. She practiced general dentistry in India for a few years before moving to England. She successfully passed the Overseas Registration Exam and registered with the General Dental Council. She joined {my}dentist in 2018 and started working at the Florence House practice in 2019. She offers NHS treatment and also provides private treatments such as cosmetic fillings, dentures, teeth whitening and Clear Correct (teeth straightening/clear braces)). Amina can help you with achieving your perfect smile. Amina continues her professional development by attending various courses in different fields of general dentistry. Amina is calm, friendly, and gentle natured and this makes her a popular dentist, as she always gives her patients a comfortable experience and keeps them as relaxed as possible.Outside dentistry, Amina loves cooking, arts and crafts, travelling and spending time with her family.

    Ella Carter GDP Qualified from: BChD University of Leeds 2018 GDC No: 277773

    Ella graduated in 2018 from Leeds University, she then worked in Hull as a foundation dentist and then moved back to Manchester to live with her fiancé and completed a year of dental core training in pediatrics and special care. She has carried out various locum work during her career so far and Florence house was her favorite practice as she said all the staff and patients are lovely so she now splits her working week between working here and working for the community dental service where she treats patients with special care needs, anxious children and providing sedation. Ella likes working here as she likes doing a variety of treatments including ClearCorrect (teeth straightening with clear braces). In Ella's spare time she does triathlons and is competing in the aqua bike world championships in September 2023.

  • Holly Cain
    Holly Cain GDP Qualified from: BDS University of Manchester 2020 GDC No: 223766

    Holly began her career in dentistry as a dental nurse in 2010, qualifying in 2011. During this time, she gained a further qualification as an oral health educator. After 3 years of nursing, she went on to train as a dentist and graduated from Manchester University in 2020. Holly completed her foundation training at our Wigan Red Rose practice and following this, decided to stay on as an associate dentist and she joined Florence House in 2022. She enjoys her time as an NHS dentist and has a keen interest in restorative dentistry. Holly has completed the ClearCorrect teeth straightening course )clear braces) and can provide clear aligners for her patients; she also has plans to further her restorative knowledge with postgraduate courses in the near future. Outside of dentistry Holly enjoys spending quality time with her husband, son and their Labrador Millie.

  • Jonathan Skidmore
    Jonathan Skidmore GDP Qualified from: BChD University of Leeds 2014 GDC No: 251907

    Dr Jonathan Skidmore graduated from the University of Leeds in 2014 with merit. Along the way he won several awards including the Jackson Prize awarded for his Paediatric Dentistry in 2015. He passed his Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow exams and is a member there. In 2019 Jonathans passion and love for root canal treatments led him to achieve an MSc in Endodontics from the University of Chester. This has enabled him to take referrals for all types of root canal treatment and retreatment, including endodontic microsurgery across the North West working in specialist practices in Wigan and Manchester. Jonathan works with an operating microscope employing the most modern techniques and equipment to provide the highest quality of care. More recently Jonathan carried out advanced training in restorative dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has trained closely with endodontic specialists from Bristol. He is a member of the British Endodontic Society and the European Endodontic Society. Jonathan enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and will always put the patients comfort and best interests first. If you don’t find Jonathan at work, he can be found in the lake district or watching Manchester United.

  • Julia Williamson
    Julia Williamson GDP Qualified from: BDS University of Manchester 2014 GDC No: 252631

    Julia grew up in Manchester and graduated from Manchester Dental School in 2014, she then completed her vocational training year in Newcastle and has been working at Florence House in Wigan since 2015. Julia has enjoyed all aspects of general dentistry and recently finished an 18 month advanced aesthetic restorative dentistry course which included further training in the provision of aesthetic crowns, veneers, bridges and dentures. Julia has also undertaken training with Invisalign and enjoy taking on cases to straighten and improve the appearance of people’s teeth through placement of clear, discreet braces. Julia believes dentistry can be painless and she always tries to ensure her patients feel as comfortable as possible. Julia has completed advanced training in facial aesthetics. She can offer a range of treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections to both prevent and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, treatments to reduce the appearance of a "gummy smile" as well as injections to relax facial muscles involved in clenching.     Katy graduated in 2016, obtaining her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Manchester. After completing her Foundation training in Merseyside in 2017, Katy then decided to pursue a career in General Dentistry. Katy was delighted to accept an associate position at Florence House having grown up in the local area. She enjoys getting to know the families within the local community.Katy likes the variety that general dentistry has to offer and enjoys most aspects of dentistry. She particularly enjoys treating children, having some spent time providing dental care at community health centres whilst at university.

  • Zoe Moore
    Zoe Moore GDP Qualified from: BDS University of Liverpool 2012 GDC No: 227439

    Zoe graduated in 2012, obtaining her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Liverpool. Prior to this she earned a Biology degree at the University of St Andrews and worked at an investment bank for a short period. After completing her dental Foundation training in Liverpool, she accepted an associate dentist position at a general dental practice in Lancashire, where she worked for four years and enjoyed building relationships up with patients over that period. She left the practice to have her daughter in 2017 and then her son in 2019. Zoe was delighted to accept the position at Florence House in early 2020 after her return from maternity leave, as she is Wigan born and bred. She enjoys and is experienced in all aspects of general dentistry. She especially enjoys getting to know her patients and putting them at ease. In the future she wishes to continue attending courses to remain up to date and enhance her skills further. When not in work, Zoe enjoys spending time with her husband and young children, cooking and travelling.

    Alexandra McClymont Therapist Qualified from: Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy University of Liverpool 2019 NVQ L3 Dental Nursing & VRQ L3 Dental Nursing City & Guilds 2010 GDC No: 194648

    Alex qualified in Dental Hygiene and Therapy with a distinction in 2019. Whilst studying at the University of Liverpool she also won an award for presenting the best restorative case of the year and for achieving top marks in her elective project. Prior to this she had worked as a qualified dental nurse since 2008. Alex especially enjoys treating children and helping to educate them on how to keep their teeth nice and healthy. Alex joined Florence House in 2022 and really enjoys treating patients who live in the same community as she does. Outside of dentistry Alex likes to spend time with her family, she had a baby daughter in July 2021.
