Smile Makeover

Gary attended the surgery with a failing post crown on his upper right central incisor, with a view to replacing it with an implant. At consultation Gary advised Dr Chhadat that he was unhappy with the appearance of his smile and as someone who speaks to client’s face-to- face on a daily basis, it was affecting his confidence at work. After further discussions regarding treatment options, expectations, timings and cost, a plan was agreed upon and treatment commenced to fix the failing post crown with an implant, a crown lengthening procedure to 8 other teeth and then full restoration of all 9 teeth with cosmetic crowns. Gary is absolutely thrilled with the outcome and says he can’t stop smiling now! The process took 9 months in total but I'm sure you'll agree the result is astounding!

I had been very unhappy with the appearance and functionality of my teeth for many years, the final straw being when I swallowed a crown which had come to the end of its life. I contacted “mydentist” and made an appointment with Dr Chhadat , feeling immediately at ease as he was very friendly and pro-active with his suggestions as to what would work best for me. He designed a treatment plan for me for the whole of my upper arch, which included “gum work”, crowns and an implant. The treatment took several months during which time I got to know Imran’s team very well – at all times they were really friendly and professional. The before and after photographs speak for themselves – I am absolutely thrilled with the result and cannot stop smiling. It has totally changed my life and given me so much confidence in my job.

Implant Bridge

The patient was extremely unhappy with the removable partial denture that was replacing her upper 5 front teeth and reported that it was affecting her confidence and also her ability to chew. She wanted to have something fixed for both functional and aesthetic reasons. After discussing all the treatment options, a treatment plan was agreed upon and treatment commenced to replace the missing 5 teeth with an implant retained bridge. 3 Implants were placed in the area with a 5-unit bridge fitted on top. Treatment took 4 months from start to finish. The patient is extremely happy with the appearance of the teeth. Along with being able to eat, drink, talk and laugh again, she now has no fear of the denture falling out. She has the confidence to smile again.

Excellent treatment at the practice, before, during and after treatment. Staff were friendly at all times with nothing too much for them. Stunning Smile for a Special Day

Paul was unhappy with the appearance of his upper front teeth. They were chipped and discoloured. He had begun not to smile due to the appearance. After his sister had veneers placed on her teeth and with his wedding only a couple of months away, he was interested in whether it would be possible to complete the same treatment on his own teeth. Paul booked an appointment with Dr Seledcova who completed a thorough examination and confirmed veneers were possible. After discussing Paul's chief concerns, it was decided that whitening would be completed prior to the veneer treatment. This was to ensure an improved colour to all the teeth, enabling Larisa to create the veneers in a lighter shade, improving the overall brightness and appearance of Paul’s smile. Paul is extremely happy with the end result and very much looking forward to flashing his new smile on his wedding day!

First Hygiene Visit

Charlotte visited the practice for an examination, upon which the dentist advised her it would be beneficial to see the hygienist. Charlotte took the dentist’s advice and booked an appointment. Charlotte had never seen the hygienist before and was quite apprehensive about the treatment. Upon arrival she was greeted by our Hygienist, Becky, who immediately put Charlotte at ease. During her appointment Becky reassured Charlotte, explained the treatment throughout and gave her advice on how to maintain her teeth and gums at home. Charlotte was very happy with the treatment and has already booked her next hygienist appointment.

I came to see Becky today for my first hygiene appointment and I would like to say how professional she was. She was extremely calming and put me at ease throughout the whole treatment. She explained the treatment procedure to me throughout the appointment and gave me advice on after-care and maintenance at home. I felt so calm and relaxed, I could have easily fallen asleep ! I felt very relaxed and chilled. An excellent service. I have already booked my next appointment ! Very happy with my new smile !

Composite Bonding

The patient wanted to improve the shape of four of her teeth in the upper arch. She was happy with the colour of her teeth and did not want to have something as permanent as veneers. Our dentist Larisa advised that we could use a technique called 'composite bonding'. This is where a composite material is applied to the teeth in small increments, allowing the dentist to change the shape and if desired the colour of teeth. The patient decided to choose this option as she wanted to improve her smile yet still look natural. Larisa placed composite on the four teeth in the top and the patient was delighted with the result. A lovely natural make-over.

Not to blow our own trumpet

Mike came to the practice needing a fixed solution to a failing post crown. Due to his passion, playing the trumpet, he needed a fixed and functional option to be able to carry on playing. Following an intense regime of treatment with the hygienist to improve the health of his gums, Dr Chhadat placed an implant in the site of his upper left central incisor. With a short break from playing, whilst the implant healed, Mike was able to work things around his playing schedule and the implant was restored for an extremely important concert, in which Mike, not only played but wrote the music for. An extremely successful outcome not only cosmetically but functionally too. Enabling Mike to carry on his passion for playing.

I am a trumpet player, holding the principal position in the bands and ensembles in which I perform. When a capped upper front tooth failed, an implant was the only viable option to ensure I could still play. The treatment was intense, yet with considerable support from the dental hygienist, extremely successful. With a short break from playing, to avoid pressure on the implant whilst it was healing, the treatment has enabled me to continue to develop as a performer. I can now smile proudly and am grateful to the entire team for the result.

Baby Tooth extraction

Paul attended the practice with his son Lucas. Lucas had a mobile deciduous tooth that was causing pain especially when eating. Dr Larisa Seledcova was able to remove the tooth at the same appointment meaning Lucas and Paul didn't have to return a second time for the treatment.

I brought my 6 year old son Lucas, to see Larisa regarding a loose baby tooth that was causing pain especially when he was eating. Larisa advised the tooth could be removed at the practice right then and there. She was very calming and explained to Lucas what was going to happen. She was able to numb the area and remove the tooth whilst still keeping Lucas calm and co-operative. Lucas was so happy that the tooth was out ! Larisa and her nurse Jane were fantastic with Lucas and I couldn't recommend the practice enough. A wonderful team that have a great rapport with children.

Avoiding a Denture

Following a referral by her dentist, Margaret visited mydentist Westbrook to discuss dental implants. She had a long-standing dental bridge, which was failing. The bridge replaced all the teeth on Margaret’s upper right-hand quadrant. Understandably, Margaret was extremely worried that once the bridge failed permanently, the only option would be to have a denture. Following a thorough examination, it was determined that the bridge once removed, could be replaced with four dental implants with a 6-unit bridge secured on top. This would replace the missing teeth in the upper right quadrant with a fixed solution, avoiding the need for a removable denture, which Margaret was adamant she wanted to avoid. The treatment took just over 4 months to complete and Margaret is thrilled with the outcome.

I was so unhappy with my teeth before treatment, mainly because they had become very loose, I was persevering with them, as I did not want to have a denture. My dentist recommended I came to mydentist Westbrook to see if Implants were possible. The team there were able to help me with my problem, while offering wonderful service and treatment. All I want for Christmas

Sharon came to mydentist Westbrook with a missing upper lateral incisor. She was wearing a denture to replace the tooth and hated it. Mortified with the idea of the denture being the only permanent solution, she was extremely upset. Stefanie the treatment co-ordinator spent a lot of time discussing the options available to Sharon and arranged an appointment to see the implant surgeon, Dr Imran Chhadat. Following discussions, Dr Chhadat advised that it would be possible to replace the missing tooth with an implant-retained crown, to which Sharon was elated. With a loss in her self-confidence due to the missing tooth and dental anxiety relating to a previous trauma, patience, reassurance and continual communication were paramount. However, with help from the implant team, the hygienist and the treatment co-ordinator, Sharon completed her treatment in 4 months, getting rid of the loathsome denture just in time for Christmas.

I had cracked my crown, next to my front tooth. I visited the dentist and unfortunately, the tooth was not saveable. I had the tooth extracted and a removable denture placed. I was so upset that I would have to wear a denture, my confidence was at a complete low. However, when I was given the option of visiting mydentist Westbrook to discuss dental implants, I jumped at the chance. Straight smiles for miles

Rob attended the practice wanting to improve his top and bottom front teeth. A happy guy, Rob was constantly smiling and laughing. It only seemed fair to give him a smile to match his personality! Following a consultation with Dr Larisa to look at removable aligners as an option, it was apparent the aligner treatment may have a compromised outcome due to the severe crowding in the lower teeth. Rob was offered a referral to an Orthodontic Specialist to obtain a near perfect result. However, as Rob wanted an aesthetically pleasing, minimally invasive and cost-effective treatment he decided to proceed with the removable aligners provided by Invisalign Go. I'm sure you'll agree the results speak for themselves! A stunning result considering the treatment was classed as complex within the treatment limitations of this specific Invisalign system. Rob is absolutely over the moon with the results.

Larisa and Stef made the entire Invisalign Go experience a pleasure from start to finish. With my work schedule and not being in the country for significant amounts of time, the treatment was perfect as I didn't need numerous appointments at the practice and communicated with Stef via text to arrange appointments or discuss any issues I had. I am delighted with the outcome and would highly recommend both the treatment and the practice.

A Fast and Vast improvement

Claire was unhappy with the appearance of her upper front teeth, so much so, that she would hide her smile or smile without showing her teeth. Cosmetic Crowns and Bridgework

This lady came to us as she wanted to replace her old, uneven crowns. She was unhappy with the shape, size, and colour of her crowns and also the denture that she had. After an appointment with her Dentist Muneera to discuss her options, we replaced her old crowns and made a bridge to replace her old denture.

I am extremely pleased with the treatment I have received. My teeth were very uneven in shape, size and colour before. Now they are even in all aspects and look very natural. My treatment was handled with care and I felt in safe, good hands throughout.
