Charity work is more than an act of kindness for the team at mydentist Formby - it’s part of who they are. Led by Practice Manager Amanda Morris, who has worked within dentistry for over 30 years, the team has long been dedicated to giving back, raising money for causes close to their hearts and, most recently, volunteering with Dentaid to provide care to vulnerable communities. We caught up with Amanda to learn more about what inspires her, and her team, to dedicate their team time to such incredible causes.

In September we caught up with Dr Humnah Javid, a newly qualified associate dentist at mydentist Glossop, who was about to embark on an exciting trip to Uganda alongside Dentaid, a charity that provides essential dental care to communities both here in the UK and overseas. Now that Humnah is home, we visited Glossop for an update on the trip – including some insight into what she learnt during her time abroad and her plans for the future.  

Born and raised in Sparta, Greece, Dr Dimitra Markopoulou grew up surrounded by olive groves, where harvesting and producing olive oil is a cherished tradition. Today, she and her family manage 20 acres of land in her home region, running a successful olive oil business alongside her dental career.   For dentists, the right career is about more than just clinical expertise - it’s about creating a lifestyle that reflects your priorities, passions and goals.

We’re excited to announce that mydentist Coventry practice team have officially settled into their new home on Central Six Retail Park in Coventry. As of October 2024, the doors to a brand-new, state-of-the-art practice were opened, marking an exciting new chapter for us and for you, our patients.
